Orangettes were invented by the royal candy makers at the court of Versailles during the 17th century. They're just as popular today, giving a rush to people who love the combination of citrus fruit and chocolate. We strive to make ours with just a thin coating of chocolate: just enough to add a little something to the already luxurious orange peels.
We also do a variation by dipping pieces of moist candied ginger in our same signature dark chocolate. Their spicy sweetness is the source of much pleasure among our clients. Since the ginger flavor is a bit stronger than the orange, we give them a little thicker coating of chocolate
Both of these make great gifts and are a lovely thing to offer guests on a pretty little tray at the end of a meal.
